Susan Sterk is a native New York who has enjoyed drawing and painting most of her life. Energetic and enthusiastic she thrives on the pulse of the city. Both the real estate and financial markets have always fascinated her. After graduating Barnard College with an AB in Art History she attended Columbia Business School where she received an MBA in finance. Susan then pursued a career on Wall Street as a corporate bond trader and institutional salesman. After a successful career on Wall Street she retired early in order to develop her true passion: art.
After several years Susan turned to real estate for a more flexible career which allowed her to carry her aesthetic sensibilities over, while maintaining a vibrant and prolific career as a painter. Susan has studied portraiture, still life, landscape and cityscapes with artists such as Mary Beth Mckenzie, Peter Cox, Gregg Kreutz and Joe Peller at the Art Students League. In December 2007 she had a solo exhibition at the National Arts Club in Manhattan and has participated in other smaller shows around New York.
